Software Engineer VISTAGY, Inc. is actively seeking a Software Engineer to work at the Waltham, MA headquarters. As a UI Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing, enhancing and supporting VISTAGY's FiberSIM and EnCapta products. EnCapta is a multi-process application that is integrated into several popular CAD systems and allows users to create specialized engineering environments. In addition to being a product in itself, EnCapta is a framework that allows VISTAGY to rapidly develop CAD integrated, vertical market applications that run within multiple CAD systems (such as FiberSIM).
Responsibilities:
• Develop new UI features and components that add value to VISTAGY’s EnCapta framework
• Master Qt’s cross platform C++ toolkit
• Assist others in the use of EnCapta to develop vertical market solutions
•Support and maintain existing UI code
Requirements:
•Strong background in C++/C and at least one scripting language (Perl, JavaScript, VB Script,
•Experience using Qt or other UI toolkits such as Java Swing, TCL/TK
•BS or MS in Computer Science
•Knowledge of Object Orientated Design (OOD)
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Excellent technical problem solving capabilities
•Self-starter who can juggle a variety of different responsibilities
Desirables:
•Experience with SQL and relational databases
•Experience with HTML
