Qt 4.3.4 + Windows XP

You've got to be freacking kidding me!
I just can't run the "Hello world!" example!
Now, I just, for the 4th time in the past 3 days, uninstalled EVERYTHING. No Qt, no NetBeans, no Cygwin, no MinGW, no NADA.
I've done the "Installation" tutorial MANY times, and nothing.
Can anyone PLEASE tell me a step-by-step for NEWBIES "how to" compile and run a simple Qt based application? Like "Hello world!"?
This is the file I have:

qt-win-opensource-4.3.4-mingw.exe

I'm running MS Windows XP Home edition.
