qpe stuck - keyboard issues ?

Hi,

I succeded in compiling qtopia phone edition, but when I run qpe the desktop seems to be stuck in a loop, with something very similar to a clock in the foreground.
I tried to generate different scancodes, as per qtopia documentation but they do not work. Do Qtopia read directly scancodes from the keyboard device ? Moreover please provide precise scancode in the documentation, the mapping is not clear at all to me. To sum up, when running qpe, my keyboard (atkbd) does not work, I cannot pop the menu up nor can I launch applications.
Standalone applications such as games work, but within qpe I have no clue how to execute them. Key mapping (e.g. F1 to task manager seems to be working), in defaultbuttons.conf.

Thanks a lot

The point is: when I run qpe, I cannot launch the menu, I do not know if it is a keyboard problem (my keyboard is a qwerty, I cannot generate all key pad scancodes), or something else. This means that qtopiq Key_select does not work I guess. There is a circular object similar to a clock running in the background, that is it. I still can map buttons to services through defaultbuttons.cfg.

Thank you very much indeed

'I cannot generate all key pad scancodes' - doesnt matter. did you try disabling keyboard drivers?
