Job description: Software engineer.
Prosurgics is a leading provider of robotic devices to the medical industry. We are looking for a strong software engineer with experience of object-oriented programming in Trolltech’s Qt and Microsoft’s Visual C/C++.
Other desirable experience includes:-
- multi-threading
- communication protocols
- Visual SoureSafe
- 3D maths
Any experience of robotics and/or computer vision is an advantage, but someone adept at the kind of mathematics used in 3D computer graphics would be suitable.
The successful candidate will be versatile, imaginative, clear thinking and a natural problem solver. Because the post is in the development of medical devices applicants should be conscientious, thorough, and driven to provide high quality work that can meet the most stringent international standards with respect to software validation and verification.
Candidates originally from an engineering, maths or physics background who have moved into software are of particular interest.
The post will receive remuneration within the range of £25K-£40K per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
