Unable to install Qt 4.1.4 on ubuntu 6

Can anyone tell me what packages need to be installed on ubuntu to install Qt 4.1.4 open source on it? It tells me that XShape isn't enabled but I don't see a package relating to XShape. When I build without XShape, it complains about some header files missing like X11/Xlib.h.

If someone has a list of the required packages, I would be grateful.

Thanks
Jay

You need to install x-windows-system-dev (in debian).

If you're under Ubuntu or Debian you need the xorg-dev package. Let Synaptic do everything as there are many dependencies to meet.
