setModel not working for QTreeView in designer

Not sure how your getting QTreeWidget when its inherited from void QAbstractItemView::setModel ( QAbstractItemModel * model ) [virtual] for QTreeView. Either your instanciation is private within your header file, or you have a miss match of classes your using (which is boggling).

Segmentation fault / better design

It could be that In func DBI::execute the return value is only instantiated within a function of the body and returned if everything goes well, since the function is designed to always return a type QSqlRecord. Might instantiate an empty QSqlRecord coming into the body so it always has something to return.

[SSL] Client authentication

Your hitting what seems to be an error with SSL Node where the server is hanging up on the client without bubbling up the correct diagnostic message. Hopefully you can glean something from this threadand it will lead you to a solution. Otherwise, I'm not sure myself.

darshMan, Whenever you compile for a specific platform the execution/runtime is reduced, even for java. I think a bigger question for management would be development costs. I do not know what a Java license would entail but you would need to license Qt for each platform if releasing commercial. Plus the overhead of development to a different tool set (number of programmers, document editors, equipment, unit testing, etc....) it maybe that cost is a quick sway for managements decision to stay wit...

You can set the QToolButton::MenuButtonPopup mode on a ToolButton and then add a QMenu loaded with the other QToolButton actions. ref: QToolButton Note: if you don't want the indicator like combo box you can check out appling a stylesheet setting to hide it.

Need help in exact conversion from string to double

I'm not sure what is influencing this output because the percise was set to only 6 and not length provided in your output. The 0 on the end of 071110 isn't really needed as I can tell. Did you try with just 148366.07111 with precision 6; the output would be 148366.071110 as expected. Maybe a complier setting is causing this (just a thought).

You can use QListView and adjust the flow property from top/bottom to left/right. Guess an example of that would be helpful... example unzips into listviewflow dir cd into dir qmake -project qmake make ./listviewflow

ODBC query problem no extended characters read

I've ran across where the tick ['] can cause problems as well with some db's in the string entry, so my solution was to convert data to base64 before injection to the database and convert the data back upon retrieval. Not sure if that helps if your sharing this db with other applications. Just thought I would throw out something that worked for me. Plus it made the data unpresentable to prying eyes.

This signal is emitted when the widget's contextMenuPolicy is Qt::CustomContextMenu, and the user has requested a context menu on the widget. I don't see where you set this policy on the QListWidget in your code presented.

setupUi and using parent of an object

The first two problems are because your trying to change the central widget before the setupUi() is invoked. The statusBar is a scoping problem - I attached an example that hopefully will help you in this endeavor. The example will unzip into directory qlabel. cd into qlabel and do: qmake -project qmake make Hope it helps.

Subclassing QVector problems

QVector's value type must be an assignable data type. This covers most data types that are commonly used, but the compiler won't let you, for example, store a QWidget as a value; instead, store a QWidget *. QFile is not a assignable data type, but QFile * would be.
