Configuring QT Creator 2.4.1 Based on QT Version 4.7.4 for Mini2440

Hi gurus,

I am newbie in both Linux (Ubuntu) and QT Creator. I want to develop apps for mini2440 for the sake of fun and my learning a new set of tools. I have installed Ubuntu 12.04 and then installed ARM Qtopia using http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghzRuwEAWdo successfully. Next I wanted to install QT Creator, so I downloaded the latest version (QT Creator 2.4.1 based on QT Version 4.7.4) and installed it successfully. Now I have one problem:

The problem is how to tell QT Creator that you have to build for ARM (mini2440) and not for any other platform???

I tried different tutorials, but when I go to Tools > options > Build & Run > QT Versions and then provide manually path to my arm-qtopia installation make file (/<user>/home/arm-qtopia/qtopia-2.2.0-FriendlyARM/qtopia/bin where qmake file exists), it says that "could not determine the path to the binaries of the qt installation, maybe the qmake path is wrong?"

Can somebody please help me out with this?

Regards,
Spark

yes it built successfully because I then modified and ran a hello world program using it, and there were no errors. The program ran good on mini2440
