Are there any security system experts out there?

Hey everyone,

I know I'm new here, so I'm not sure if I'm already allowed to ask questions, especially because i haven't answered any questions yet.
I just wanted to know if there is anyone in this forum who develops software for security systems.

I'm a software developer and I have experiences with embedded software but not with security systems.

Anyone out there I could ask a question about this special field?

I want to apply for this job, but as I said, even though I have experiences with embedded software developement I am worried that I need special skills for developing security systems.
