[ubuntu 11.04][Linux/X11 32-bit qtsdk installer] not so complete qt4 installation

after download completion of the offline installer, i try to install the .run file from terminal,
however i am only able to reach 81% of the program and program exit half way.

when i click the ubuntu menu application->programming->QT4->maintainancetool indicate that it cannot find the program,
the qtcreator can be launched, but i can't even launch the demo saying that it cannot find qmake, i try searching the whole pc but the qmake is only available at the madd something folder,

may i know how to fix this, or if cannot be fixed may i know how to uninstall the non-complete qtsdk?
is there a alternative way to download and install the qtsdk? after installation do i need to set env to the related directory?

Regards,
newbie user
