I am trying to get the itemDoubleClick on the QTreeWidget to open a custom Dialog box. Does anyone know how to do that. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance. I have had no success.

You need to implement itemDoubleClicked() of QTreeWidget in your application.

He rather needs to catch itemDoubleClicked ( QTreeWidgetItem*, int) signal.

Correct catch the signal, and in slot call a "show" for the dialog to be shown.
definitely, before showing you have to fill in that dialogue class
