how to use kde
Hi,
I never been used kde, so i wanna use this tool.
is anybody using kde for windows xp?
if you have, please show me url address for download.
RE: how to use kde
windows.kde.org should give you something though I think that port is still an alpha.
The thing you should know however is that KDE is not a tool, It's a desktop environment
in the same way that XP consist of the NT operating system and Windows to give you
something to talk to NT with and convenient programs.
The other thing to remember is that Microsoft carefully designed the Windows NT systems
to prevent people from using proper development tools. If you do this it's almost
certain that you'll need the windows port of GCC, G++ and GNUMake which are designed
for Unix command lines and might get messy at the dos prompt.
If you want to develop on KDE I would strongly advise that you get a copy of PC BSD or Fedora Core
Linux to work with. The learning curve is minimal and both ship with everything that you'll need.
