qt on ubuntu

Hello, i was trying to install the Qt library on my ubuntu 7.10.
I downloaded the package qt-x11-opensource-src-4.3.2.tar from the QT internet site, but when i run ./configure i don't have any errors but i can't find the QT anywhere....neither in /usr/local/.
What should i do to install it?

Have you run "make && make install"?

micke.prag is totally right...

and another thing that if you want to install Qt4.3.2 in release/debug mode or much more options?? by check ./configure --help

and after make
and make install (need superuser right)

use sudo make install or login to root and do make install
