QT GUI/Opengl Developer - UK

Quadstone Paramics is an industry leader in state of the art microscopic traffic simulation using advanced 3D visualisation. As such this opportunity provides many varied challenges within software engineering and therefore a unique opportunity for interesting problem solving and growth in development experience in the areas of UI design, commercial desktop applications development, and 3D graphics visualisation and rendering.

We require a talented software engineer with at least two years software engineering experience to join the Paramics development team and "hit the ground running".

Key Skills:

Candidates must have experience in the following areas:

* Two years commercial C++ programming experience. C is also acceptable, although it must be supported with commercial experience of C++.
* Good degree in a relevant subject matter (Computer Science/Software Engineering).
* Ability to work as part of team with software and application engineers.
* Knowledge of full software life cycle from requirements gathering to implementation and testing.
* Strong problem solving abilities and good verbal and written communication skills.


Desirable Skills:

Our ideal candidate would also have experience on one or more of the following areas:

* Experience of using the Qt toolkit.
* Experience of OpenGl or DirectX.
* Experience of 3D modeling and animation techniques.
* Experience with packages such as 3D Studio Max or Maya; and
* Background in Engineering/Science/Gaming disciplines


Applicants should hold a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline, either first degree or postgraduate.

This is a pertinent position based in Edinburgh, UK. Only applicants with the necessary visa's/permits to work in the UK should apply.
