Printer in a Thread

Hi,

i have a list of data witch i want to print.
I created a CDataPrinter class deliverd from QThread. In fact of this my thread can calculate all Data out of the list and print it while the GUI Thread is still running.
For this function i give my CDataPrinter a QPainter for drawing Data and a QPrinter Object as QPainters PaintDevice.

The Question is, could there be a problem if i call QPainter.setup()? A Dialog is shown and i have learned , never use GUI part outside the GUI Thread.

I hope i dont explain my question to complicate.
Thanks for your answers.
