Job Description:

GUI Developer
This NYC based role would assist in the development of our Wombat GUI product, a real-time front end monitoring application for both market data and system performance. Our application targets users such as traders, quants and sysadmins. Wombat GUI is built on top of Wombat's event driven market data API, and as our GUI grows we need to expand our personnel to support it. Therefore, we are seeking people with fresh innovative minds to assist us.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement and test new features.
Provide 3rd line support to customers.
Continually improve the code base in terms of performance and functionality.
Implement and enhance engineering processes that deliver better software as efficiently as possible.

Requirements - Essential:
Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
C++ and GUI development experience.
Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems.
Proven track record of exceptional performance, high productivity and meeting deadlines.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
Superb problem solving and analytical abilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements - Desirable:
Familiarity with Qt toolkit
Messaging middleware / event driven software experience
Willingness to travel.
