Problems with finding the XRender library

Hi everyone,

I am trying to isntall the open source Qt version on my home laptop and I am getting the following error:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXrender
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[3]: *** [../../lib/] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/psychomantis/qt-x11-opensource-src-4.1.4/src/gui'
make[2]: *** [debug-all] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/psychomantis/qt-x11-opensource-src-4.1.4/src/gui'
make[1]: *** [sub-gui-make_default-ordered] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/psychomantis/qt-x11-opensource-src-4.1.4/src'
make: *** [sub-src-make_default-ordered] Error 2

I am running Kubuntu and I found that the XRender library is there in /usr/lib directory.

I do not know why it cannot find it. The Xrandr and other libraries are also located there.

So, if anyone has had similar problems and can shed some light on this, I would be extremely grateful.
