tooltips on table cells

is there a way i can add tooltips to specific cells of a widget only?
i thought that the cells could be treated as indivdual widgets anway, but than something like:
QToolTip::add( myTable->cellWidget(0,0), ....
would work and it doesnt... anything i ca do?

ps: still qt3.3 here

Not quite, QTableItem is not a widget and usually QTable::cellWidget() returns 0. You can place a widget inside a cell using QTable::setCellWidget().

You could try to create tooltips for the table itself dynamically, depending on the mouse position.
